The editor has some built in help for embedding videos and audio from popular sites to use for your posting. This guide will show how to utilize the buttons above and make it easy to link to those items on those services.

Facebook
When you wish to post a video from Facebook, you'll need 3 things:

1: The video ID
2: The width of the video in pixels
3: The height of the video in pixels

Get The Video ID From A Facebook Video
Hover over the video on the facebook page and right-click.
A small menu will pop up with Play, Unmute, and Show Video URL.
    Click Show Video URL.
A small window will pop up at the top of the video window with text highlighted in blue.
Hover over the blue highllighted text and the arrow will change to an I bar.
    Right click and select copy.
Go back to the Vertical Finger Forum editor
Above the editor click the facebook button
It will put facebook directives in the editor with the cursor between them - ex: [facebook]|[/facebook]
hit Ctrl V and the entire url will be pasted between the facebook directives - ex: [facebook]https://www.facebook.com/EvolvePolitics/videos/1666350230283584/[/facebook]
If you look at the numbers at the end of the url, that is the ID, the only part we want, so, edit out all the other text - ex: [facebook]1666350230283584[/facebook]
Get The Video Width and Height From A Facebook Video
Then go back to the facebook page and hit close on the window with the blue highlighted url text
in the video window you that just closed the url popup, look at the top right and you will see a downward pointing light gray arrow
Click on the arrow and at the bottom you will see </> Embed
    Click on that
Another window will pop up with "Copy and paste this code into your website."
Hover over the text and the cursor will again turn into an I bar.
Click on the text and it will highlight indicating it has been copied.
Then come back to the editor here and position the cursor below line you edited with the video ID
    Right click and hit paste
    you should now have this
    [facebook]1666350230283584[/facebook]
    <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FEvolvePolitics%2Fvideos%2F1666350230283584%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>
look for the words "width" and "height"
the number after the equals sign is what we want.
edit the [facebo0k]1666350230283584[/facebook] directives to look like this: [facebook]1666350230283584, 560, 315[/facebook]
    then erase the whole line <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FEvolvePolitics%2Fvideos%2F1666350230283584%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe> so you are just left with the line above it: [facebook]1666350230283584, 560, 315[/facebook]

Notes: Most of the time on facebook, if the video is rectangular the width and height is 560 and 315, if it's square it will most likely be 400 and 400. For the most part you can skip the whole set of instructions to find out the width and height and just type in the 560 and 315 or 400 and 400 and it will work most of the time. However if it's bigger or not the same aspect ratio then you will get best results finding the width and height manually.

ReverbNation
ReverbNation is a website dedicated to musical artists from all over the world. The unique thing about ReverbNation is almost all the artists are independent and not necessarily established. There are a lot of great artists and those artists have a lot of great songs. It's a great alternative to finding new and interesting music. If you are a musician that has been recording your songs, you probably have them on ReverbNation. If you have friends that are musicians and write original songs, they probably are on ReverbNation. In the interest of helping new and/or unestablished artists and to also allow our members to post some great new music we've added a button to make it easy to post songs from ReverbNation.

When you wish to post an audio track from ReverbNation, you'll need 2 things

1: The Artist ID
2: The song ID

Get The Artist ID and Song ID for a ReverbNation track
If you haven't done so, go to the Artists page and select the song share button on the right of the song in the list. It's a circle with an ellipse inside.
Click on that icon and a popup menu will show several options.
    Click on Share Song
Click on that and a window will pop up with the artist and song and 2 options at the top: Share and Embed. Share will be highlighted. Select Embed.
The window will change to a tall window with some code in a text box below the words Embed Code.
On the far right of that code you will see a copy button. Click that and it will copy the code into the clipboard.
Go back to the Vertical Finger Forums editor and click the 'reverbnation' button.
It will put the reverbnation directives into the editor with the cursor between them. ex: [reverbnati0n]|[reverbnati0n]
right click and paste the clipboard contents into the editor between the raverbnation directives where the cursor is and you should have this ex: [reverbnati0n]<iframe width="100%" height="500" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://www.reverbnation.com/widget_code/html_widget/artist_3211132?widget_id=55&pwc[song_ids]=19725483&context_type=song&spoid=artist_3211132" style="width:0px;min-width:100%;max-width:100%;"></iframe>[/reverbnati0n]
What we want to do is edit out all the text and keep just the artist ID and song ID. ex: [reverbnati0n]<iframe width="100%" height="500" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="https://www.reverbnation.com/widget_code/html_widget/artist_3211132?widget_id=55&pwc[song_ids]=19725483&context_type=song&spoid=artist_3211132" style="width:0px;min-width:100%;max-width:100%;"></iframe>[/reverbnati0n]
Edit out all the other text so that what you have looks like this [reverbnati0n]321132, 19725483[/reverbnati0n]. Notice the comma and space between the 2 numbers.
Then you can edit your post like any other post. Add comments above or below that line. ex:

Hey, check out this new artist I found on ReverbNation
    [reverbnati0n]321132, 19725483[/reverbnati0n]
I really like the sound of the vocals... What do you think?
