If people come from California to Illinois or Florida they don't stay long.

My driveway is a 1/4 mile long. Closest neighbor is 1/4 mile any direction too.. it's not unusual to wake up and have deer drinking out of my pond (37' from my front door) alongside racoons and opossums.

The wife took one of the dogs out on a leash one evening and spooked a large buck at the pond, he ran, the dog ran, and she almost faceplanted trying to hold Harley.

I have one neighbor about 500 feet away.
The next few are 1/2 mile or more away.
The ground is good for planting.
I can dig down with a shovel & at 2 feet or 3 feet its still virgin beautiful Black Dirt.
Want to start farming on a small scale part time.
Have my old 1952 Allis Chamlers WD tractor & she runs tip top. Has the 540 PTO & Lift Arms. Too early for the 3-point hitch.
That came with the WD45.
Also bought with a two row disc plow combo.
I cleared my field with a Brillion 7-foot wide Brush Hog style mower. Mower is maybe 1957-1958 from photo ads I found online. Has a hydraulic lift deck & has Twin 15.00" rimmed car tires mounted outboard.
I repaired the 540 PTO driveshaft. Welded it at work myself.
The Allis has plenty of power.
Put both to Work Last Fall. I Mowed right over Trees 2-3 inches in diameter 10 -12 feet high. At least 100 of them.
Weeds around 12-15 tall. Cleared 3 acres in my Field.
The Allis 4-cylinder gas engine never missed a beat. 4.00" inch bore with a 4.00 " crankshaft stroke.
The Noise was just deafening horrendous ...Like a Jet Engine cutting down all.
Normally it should take a 50 HP PTO shaft horsepower....Allis is rated less.
Tough old tractor & puts out much more than its rated to do so.
